Summary

Since the new update physic materials have been unexposed. They are useful for a lot of different things, like e.g. footstep sounds etc.

The team is targeting a fix for 41.00.

Default Phys Material

If you are in a rush to get the phys material you can still grab the reference and paste them. Just find one assets in fortnite that has that phys material and browse it with reference viewer mesh->material->phys

For example for Ice,Lava or Water you can paste one of this:

/Game/FortressPhysicalMaterials/Ice

/Game/FortressPhysicalMaterials/Lava

/Game/FortressPhysicalMaterials/Water

FORT-1076651 is ‘Closed’ as ‘Fixed’. The issue will be addressed in 41.00.
