Matchmaking

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a team-based or Free For All game in UEFN.
  2. Configure Join In Progress to “Spawn During New Round”.
  3. Start a match.
  4. Have a player join while the match is already in progress.
  5. Wait for the next round to begin.

Expected Result

The joining player should be assigned according to the island’s configured team settings:

  • In team-based modes, players should be assigned to the appropriate team based on team assignment and balancing rules.
  • In Free For All modes, each player should remain on their own unique team as intended.

Observed Result

All players who join in progress and spawn on the next round are assigned to Team 1, regardless of the island’s team configuration.

FORT-1113727’s status has changed to ‘Ready for QA’. A member of the QA department is investigating the issue.

I’ve been playing in Germany and have had problems since the update.

If someone is publicly on my map and another person joins the game, and the first player kills themselves or starts a new round, the match ends because both players are on the same team. I can see the teammate’s name. Then the match is over, and we both go back to the lobby.
But the island settings do not include teams—they’re set to ‘Free for all.’
