v41.10 Known Issues & Pre-Release Updates

Hello Fortnite developers,

At Unreal Fest we shared some results from our efforts to improve iteration times and stability in UEFN. Tomorrow we’ll be posting a more detailed update on the progress we’ve made and what’s still to come.

Here are known issues introduced with v41.10 and regressions from v41.00 we’re still tracking. We’ll update this thread as fixes roll out or timelines change.

v41.10 Known Issues

Live Edit: Push Changes does not trigger for required Volume types

  • When editing Volume types that require a push to update, the Push Changes action does not fire and changes to those volumes are not reflected in the live session.
  • Fix targeted for v41.30 (July 30)

On PC, equipped Wraps are not visible on several Exotic Weapons

  • On PC, players’ equipped Wraps do not render on several Exotic Weapons. Affected weapons appear without the applied Wrap, and the visual distinction that identifies them as Exotic may be unclear to players.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)

Events and Functions cannot be configured during minigame live edit

  • Events and Functions in devices cannot be configured during minigame live edit.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)

In STAR WARS islands, weapons and items become unusable after interacting with a downed player while using the Mandalorian’s Jetpack

  • If a player interacts with a downed teammate while the Mandalorian’s Jetpack is active, their weapons and items become unusable for the remainder of the encounter.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)

Party members may be returned to the lobby when using the Retry option

  • Selecting Retry may return party members to the lobby rather than restarting the match.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)

Mod Bench interact prompt appears at map origin (0,0,0) instead of at the device

  • The interact prompt for the Mod Bench device is displaced to coordinate 0,0,0 rather than appearing at the device’s location, so players may not see it. The device is still interactable even without the visible prompt.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)

Switching to spectator mode causes both the custom and default inventory UIs to display simultaneously

  • While in spectator mode, the custom inventory UI and the default inventory UI are both visible at the same time. The overlap is most visible on mobile.
  • Fix targeted for: to be confirmed

Cupid Kitty’s Sidekick emote plays an incorrect animation

  • A different animation will play instead of the one associated with the Sidekick.
  • Fix targeted for v41.20 (July 16)
