Matchmaking error on specific map

Summary

Recently published an update to my map (9464-5951-7419) and I’m facing this error when trying to play it.
It happens mostly when trying to join a public match.
But can also happen in private matches, solo or in group.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Load the map TITANS 3.0 using this code 9464-5951-7419
  • click play

Expected Result

The map load and the player is able to play the map.

Observed Result

The loading stops and user is met with a matchmaking error.

Hi @Flak this seems to be a pretty wide spread issue. There are about 7 different forum posts in the last month each with multiple votes and comments that have been closed due to not being able to reproduce.

I have a map with this issue and have noticed when it’s getting a new and updated or has higher player counts the issue is way better. Maybe higher quality servers are reserved for maps with more players but the lower player count servers can’t handle maps with high actors and heavy verse. It also seems to just be an issue with the server initially loading the map because it works sometimes and once it does let you in it’s always been fine.

FORT-940645 has been ‘Closed’. We’re unable to reproduce this issue.

I encountered the same matchmaking issue today. I was able to narrow it down to a small bit of verse code that was causing the issue. See my thread here: Custom scene graph interactable component is causing session to fail to load

For sure! Sad to see this ticket closed as well. Sometimes they are incorrectly marked as fixed but it’s an issue that just comes and goes. Here are a few, I got tired pasting after awhile, but I think this show a trend:
