One of the big things I have to tackle is making it feel faster, I think a lot of that will come when I finish up the first art pass, everything is at a huge scale at the moment so you don’t get much sense of small things zipping past. I’m a big fan of the anti gravity racers of the late 90s and early 00s so that’s definitely a vibe I want to try to capture. Appreciate the feedback, will definitely think on it
I am currently working on a game that will reuse the assets from the infiltrator techdemo. Honestly it still looks great after 10 years in Unreal Engine 5!
I am very excited to share a project that I’ve been working on in Unreal Engine for Acrylicize! Welcome to JOE
JOE is more than a platform; it’s a powerful movement that champions diversity, collaboration, and innovation. As an artist and developer who works in both the physical and digital realms, I’m inspired to create an extraordinary environment that shatters the boundaries between them. It’s a new paradigm of creativity where imagination becomes a reality.
Trailer created and developed by Deep Pixel Studio for Acrylicize.

It’s nice to see something that may feel common envisioned in a way that’s executed with such elegance. The fantastical detail provided to JOE makes it feel like you’re bringing accessibility to the homes of so many people and bridging such a unique gap in this unique style.
I can’t wait to see the future of JOE and hopefully participate someday!
Greetings @Slimwaffle; I hope you’ve been doing well! I’d like to know if there’s a dedicated thread for your Outback Survival indie game or if there are any updates you’re willing to share about the development progress.
@Zezkaii I am awesome. Thank you for asking. I hope you are also doing amazing.
In the Unreal forums. I have only posted my project here and at the following link. Solo Dev (WIP) - Outback Survival - Unreal Engine 4.27
I’ll try and post some more updates there when I have more stuff to show off. I am working on swapping from Ue4 to Ue5 at the moment. So I don’t have a lot of new stuff to show right now.
Wow, I’m incredibly impressed with your “Art is Rifle” official wishlist trailer!
I couldn’t help but wonder if the instrumental audio we heard in the trailer was exclusive to it or if it’s the official audio for the game itself. Regardless, you have a successful game on your hand, and I have certainly added it to my wishlist.
It’s the official audio for the game itself. You don’t just paint the world with your gun, but the whole world is your drum kit. each shape or each enemy type play their own specific drum note when you’re hitting them with your bullets. There is a system running in the background to calibrate the rhythms so it sounds little bit cooler.
In the trailer though many notes got added on top of the in game drum notes to make it much more appealing in a short-form video. You can play your own solo drum music in the game as long as your bullets have reach to your targeted notes / in game objects and enemies! Or… You can go rogue and shoot at everything!
Don’t mention it; the pleasure is all mine! The more I learn about your incredible game, the more interested I am in trying it out! Do you think we might get to try a demo before “Art Is Rifle’s” release in Q3 of this year?
