The project directory contains Unreal Revision Control data for a different project

Revision Control: Connection Error: The project directory contains Unreal Revision Control data for a different project.

it there a way to fix it?

im not seeking for answers that this is a known problem and that its going to be fixed (how to delete project in UEFN? - General / Issues and Bug Reporting - Epic Developer Community Forums (unrealengine.com)) - im asking for a possible workaround (like exporting, editing the engine, deleting a file that im not aware off, getting in contact with epic to delete the first project etc).

thank you.

Hello @Fabula ,

This error means that the ProjectID that is in your .uefnproject file is different from the Unreal Revision Control data in the .urc folder. Deleting the .urc folder will allow you to re-connect and create a new revision control history for your new ProjectID. You won’t have access to your old snapshots in this project anymore after doing so though (they’ll still be available in your old project).

Did you change your ProjectID ? Why ?

forgive me for coming back so late | i made a project and didn’t feel comfortable, so i restarted it with the same name. then i tried deleting it from my ssd and FN server and did some stuff in files, but i ended up with three projects with the same name and ProjectID

since then i talked myself into using a new project name & ID but now when ever i start it, it says “The tbb.dll is missing, reinstalling the program might fix it”

so im going to try UEFN won't launch, opens and then closes immediately - #21 by Omniverse before i can continue.

no need to answer. when reading it now it was an expression of my dissatisfaction of not being able to delete form server. id like to take it back and fight through it. thanks for the info you provided.
