The 5.4 version of the engine has been released, and if anyone has compiled the appropriate DLL file , I’d greatly appreciate it if they could share it with us . I believe it would be helpful to others as well.

I have been trying for many days, I have downloaded many dll’s and configurations from this post, I have installed different versions of unreal, I have downloaded and compiled unreal engine for two days in a row and changing code, and none of those worked. I have a GTX 1650 and I use Windows 11. Please someone tell me a solution, I don’t care about installing another version of Unreal, as long as it works, I just want to use path tracing for renders, thanks.

The problem is Windows 11 drivers Direct X Ultimate.

This is NOT Unreal 5.4.
I know this because I have build LGPU patches for GPU Lightmass and they fail on Windows 11

I have written so many times on GPU questions.
The Windows Update wants to put Windows 11 on your system, well dont do it.
I have changed some BIOS setting to effectively not make my PC a Windows 10 forever
My laptop have Windows 11 and look what a mess that makes of Unreal Engine Fortnite.
I have had bug reports on Windows 11 and UEFN accepted and there is

NO OFFICIAL SUPPORT NOTICE FROM EPIC FOR WINDOWS 11, just a well it works “as-is”

Effectively only Direct X 11 and SM5,
Go into you project Setting and in Windows set to direct x 11.
The problems may still remain

Hello, I have installed Windows 10 to see if it works, and in the end it did not work, I have downloaded two versions of unreal (5.3.2 and 5.2.1) and I downloaded the files from this post (the line of code contains a “;”, so I removed it), and it still does not work, it may be because the graphics card? I guess asking for a proper DLL for 5.4.3 is pointless because the thread is dead?

I opened them in VisualStudio, changed the parameters mentioned in your gibhub post, saved the file and started UE5.4.3 and PathTracing was not enabled.
I have a GTX 1070.
Please help

Click the Green button above select “Download Zip” to get a zipped format and restore /unzip to

Engine\Binaries\Win64\UnrealEditor-D3D12RHI.dll overwrite

The patched control file is in this package Engine\Config\Console.ini
click yes to overwrite

if you need to patch the source you need to have 460 Gigabytes free to build from source
and over 12 hours

DONT TRY ON 5.4.4 BECAUSE OTHERS SAY ITS NOT WORKING.

I overwrite the 2 files and it doesn’t activate pathtracing U.u

 how old is this thread corpse? you just can’t run harware raytracing on a 10 series gpu. it’ll do screentrace fx, but not raytracing with all the shabang. this thread needs a rest.
