The line in question in my code refers to:
BillboardText_name_perte_elo (Player:player, e : int, a : int) : message = “{Player} \n ELO : {e} ({a})”
Expected Result
No permanently banned project.
Observed Result
Project permanently banned ! I submitted an appeal, but it was rejected. After contacting Player Support, they told me to make a post on the forum because they can’t do anything more. So I’m coming back to you because my project was permanently banned without reason. The “localizes” for the billboard is used by everyone and has never caused the slightest issue on my other projects.

Additional Notes
Appeal ID : 864405d2-0493-4b8e-90b8-acdfaf48a99e
Please note that several submissions have successfully passed moderation across our various projects using the same “localizes”, while at times, for the very same reason, a submission was rejected. Each time, the contestation has been approved and it was an error from the moderation.
I think i did use this feature ages ago but I’ve done many publishes and never had an issue.
Its more bizarre as when i appealed it got changed to some random rule that also makes no sense as i do not break any rule in this game its a farm game.
@Flak@kalishane_eg Could someone at the automated moderation check this i see on discord its happening too i feel something is wrong/changed after the last update.
I dont want to try a republish until this is looked into so i dnt get more rejections
This is how it works, my island got banned for nudity, appeal got rejected and go home. It’s like if they ever decide to ban your island there is no going back on that decision. Even if auto moderation tags something false..
Same here, map got rejected several times in a row because it violated “1.10 Appropriate Language Only` - however, the string in question that is a violation is this…
set Buffer += "str|{A.Length}|{A}|" ^ specifically this | character.
I appealed, but of course, that just got denied.
Someone suggested removing the localization, which I did, and it still gets flagged. So I’m unable to release my project now.
Edit:
Replaced those | characters for _ which caused it to not be flagged. But now instead if just flags the next line..
It claims S2M<localizes><public>(Data : string)<transacts> : message = "{Data}" has inappropriate language now.
We received an email imposing a one-month suspension of our publishing and monetization access. The stated reason is the same: our project has received numerous false positives due to these moderation errors, followed by the project’s ban (Rule 1.1).
Although the decision was reviewed by humans, it is still based on incorrect facts! We are awaiting a response from Epic @Flak regarding our case and those of everyone reporting the same issues, as we are not alone.
I have emailed support to appeal the suspension and will share their response here.
Does anyone know what to do next? I’ve tried writing on the Discord, DMed Discord moderators, wrote on the forums and tried contacting Epic through the chatbot. None of which resulted in anything.
I’ve got a finished game that I’m unable to launch because random code gets flagged as inappropriate language.
This is clearly an issue i think the “Not an issue with the tool” is for UEFN and this is true as its moderation but this needs looking into for sure!!!
Support has read our messages, and the suspension of our publishing and monetization has indeed been lifted.
“We are writing to provide an update regarding the suspension of your publishing and monetization agreements with Epic.
After a thorough investigation, we found that the original sanction was inaccurately applied, and we have lifted the sanction.
We are sorry your account was sanctioned. Each report and appeal helps improve our moderation processes.”
Many thanks to Support for listening to us. We are now in discussions with them because, although we can work again, our projects are still banned (of course, we had contested their initial decision on the appeals site, but it was denied).
This is good first news; however, we are afraid to publish again and risk the same issues. We will wait for confirmation from a staff member regarding these moderation errors.
