I uploaded lobby images for two of my fortnite creative games. The alignment shown in the Creator Portal publishing process does not align with what is shown in-game. Also the image compression being used significantly pixelates and alters the color of the image. Is this the desired result? If not, when will this be fixed? Thank you!
It would be helpful if I could upload reference images here…
Hey @ShogunJon I’m just curious as to the resolution / ratio of your monitor? The guide that Epic provides is a general one that probably works best on a 16:9 monitor but it would vary a bit depending on the ratio of every monitor. I ended up taking the guide and putting in some of my own guides in my photo editor to help me lay out the lobby images a bit easier.
Also, you don’t have photo upload privileges yet here you can try to upload the image to a place like https://imgur.com/ and then post the link in a message. Like this: https://i.imgur.com/ooHDPEn.png
My monitor is 16:9. The issue is placement is always significantly higher than the guide and the image compression being used changes the hue (looks more green).
I ended up making my own guide by taking a screen grab of how it looks in the lobby and overlaying it onto the template and my original lobby image just to get a better idea of how it should be adjusted. It’s not a perfect solution but works for now. The images are super compressed, though. Combined with the large amount of cropping the images don’t look great. Totally agree!
