Hey,

I applied for a too with my Lighting Academy, but sadly…it didnt work out :frowning: (as the winners were just announced today) Can I just apply again or should I wait and see if my application gets regarded the next time?

Cheers!

You can always apply again when your project has made evident progress! We’re currently reviewing a few from March, April and May submissions

Scrimmage X is made by myself with the help of assets from the Unreal Market Place. The game has an engaging following on it’s Instagram (38k followers) www.instagram.com/scrimmage_x . Instagram polls average 100+ comments over time. I will be submitting to both Xbox and Playstation developer programs in the next week or two. Funding will be spent on assets for character customization (I will likely pay a couple market place creators for custom work) and perfecting the online experience (I will likely pay a team of people I am friends with from the Unreal Engine Developers Meet Up’s in San Diego to help me get the online experience polished). Thanks for the opportunity I have had a lot of fun developing this project with Unreal! www…com/dwardmelendez

This looks incredible, and I am not a huge top down player.

Hello! I’ve submitted a for the Blueprint Assist plugin, aiming to make it a core feature of the engine.

Very impressive. Nice work, and it would be a really nice addition. I like how it organized the bp cleanly. Just an idea based on this. It would be so nice to have a project organizer plug in for assets in UE4. One that would send image files into texture folder, and materials into materials folder etc. My projects become so messy I cant find my own items at times. I constantly have to search, and figure out what I named them. My non organizational skills hinder my productivity. It would be great to see a plug in that would allow my imports to categorize themselves, and send Png, jpeg, and tga files etc. to texture folder, and materials into materials folder. There may be some option I don’t know about.

@thadkinsjr Sounds like you should use the content browse filters, they do a pretty good job at that. Ctrl-p is also a hotkey I use very often to find stuff. Filtering the Content Browser | Unreal Engine Documentation

Agree with the ogranizing problem, it does take a while for me to settle on a good folder structure. No plans to make another plugin after this one though, gotta get back into game dev after this

Thanks for the ideas, these are great!

I agree this plugin should be part of the core engine. I’ve mentioned in the : I do
get it, I do not want to make a free plugin, rather add the functionality into the
engine, so I have access to all the classes.

Currently I have been building around the the restrictions of a plugin since, so if I do
get the I will be looking into these improvements. In fact I think I’ll add a new
section to my post for requested ‘engine changes’.

Anyhow If I don’t get the and they’re simple changes, I’ll probably just make a PR.
But that’s a long way away

As for the auto-layout, definitely a few bugs in there. Once I am satisfied with it, I’ll ask some
people to start testing it out and probably find a whole bunch of errors which I have to fix it
again :stuck_out_tongue: It will feature multiple styles too. Right now the auto-layout is the focus of the
plugin.

I have submitted my game “Just Us” for review.
Good luck all

I applied for dev grants.

Virtual University Library:

another demo video:

my project on my blog:

As a recent graduate of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), a leading and world-famous Hungarian university, I personally think that the Virtual University Library Project I am working on all by myself could be beneficial for our cultural heritage: By drawing the world’s attention to the virtual replica of ELTE Library’s beautiful ceremonial hall, the project could improve how people perceive the library and other libraries in the world. I believe my project could benefit the field of computer graphics, as well, by bringing Epic Games more esteem. I am sure you would like to hear that Epic Games’s work extends beyond the boundaries of video games. UE4 is a fantastic software, one of my favourite ones, as it makes my work so much easier.

In my situation, even the lowest funding could prove to be very helpful. I had applied for Unreal Dev Grants a couple of times before but have yet to receive any reply from Epic Games. I understand that Epic Games’s team receives a lot of applications on a daily basis; however, I would be very thankful to you if you could tell me whether I have any to win a for my project, or if it is not up to Epic Games standard, could you please elaborate on what improvements I could make? I would appreciate Epic Games’s help very much. I hope you’ll like it.
