Introducing Unreal Dev Grants

@frankteck we may be able to tackle #4 since we’re quite familiar with that part of the engine due to our development work on ODIN Tracker (submitted for a a few pages back)

So I’ll see if we can get a PR ready for Epic Games at some point this year to resolve that #4 issues you’ve pointed out

Not to mention,
We may of actually partially solved that issue + a couple other issues (#5 & #7) you’ve pointed out during our development of the High-Res BP Capture feature for or plugin, so I’ll check through that section of our code and get back to you:

We’ve submitted an application for Espire 1: VR Operative!

A quick note to the Epic team, if you’re reading this.

We uploaded an Espire prototype build specifically for the Epic Dev application form, however our latest build of the Espire 1 prototype is now on Oculus Home & Steam.
If you’d like to evaluate the latest build instead, please shoot us through an email.

Didn’t want to fill out another application and add to the already big backlog.

Hello all.
I am trying to submit an aplication but i cant see the link to doit on the dev grants page.
It is closed or something?
Please, let me know.

Out of curiousity is there a way to see if there are remaining funds for this program?

Hey Micky. Sorry about this. The application is still open, we just have a bug on our UI. We pushed a new build of UnrealEngine.com yesterday for our Enterprise announcements and made a mistake on our CSS. We will get this resolved in the next few hours.

For now you can use this link:
https://docs…com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd9f6SeLtPOUFj7gd6k4ERwOdr8k1p3h25DuVda6X_hfK64eQ/viewform?c=0&w=1

If you want to give it a try, you can open up Dev Tools with F12 and remove the opacity: 0; This will show the form to you, but essentially it simply provides this form link.

Again sorry about that! We will have it fixed shortly!

There are! We expect the program to continue for quite some time.

Thanks a lot!, i just submitted my project, “Lhodrye’s Chronicles”! hope you like it !

Submitted too much times, but seems that our project is not meet requirements.
That’s sad, because game have enought hype, but we cannot finish it without funds.

Well, If your game has enough followers and you need funds, you can always try kickstarter or patreon or something like that.
Just a suggestion. Looked at your game and it indeed looks nice.

Is it normal to not get a confirmation email after applying for a ? We got a “Success” message after submitting the application but no email

Submitted our game a couple of days ago. Waiting for an answer

Our project is the game Orange Cast.

Same for us. We do not even know if our project have been received and processed. As they said, they have too many submission, only the one that will be choosen will be contacted. We submitted one month ago and no news, guess our industrial project is not interesting for them.

Similar situation here, too. I submitted our Planetrism project which is a VR scifi game. We are making our game full time and basically burning our savings to get the game ready. We were one of the three winners in Unreal Engine Nvidia Edge Program in July, and thought that there might be a to boost our development with this .

So, I submitted one month ago, got no confirmation email, and nothing after that. I am not even sure if the submission has been received, there could have been some server failure etc. I can understand that they contact only those who are chosen, but confirmation email is a very basic thing, that has been automated for decades.

We here at are thrilled to announce that our upcoming survival game, , has reached yet another major milestone. Our Steam store page is now online! This will allow us a more direct route of communication with our fans while we continue bringing closer to release. This means that you can expect more progress updates and more transparent development.

Is there a way to at least get a confirmation that our project (Nova Horizon) has been reviewed or is yet to be reviewed? It’s been 2 months now. I understand the high amount of submissions but as someone who has spent almost 3 years working on the project, I’d like to at least know what stage the review is at

I doubt it. If you read this thread, you will see many complaints about zero communication back about submissions. I have never received any response about any of mine. I would treat it like a lottery, which it pretty much is. Your chances are infinitesimal, so submit it and forget it. At least that’s what I tell myself.

I just submitted an application for my game ‘Teddy and Bo: Search For The Dream Catcher’

“Teddy and Bo” is a 3D platformer which takes place inside the world of a child’s dream. It offers fun platforming and rewarding combat
You play as Teddy, an imaginative 6 year-old boy. Monsters have escaped from under the bed and are turning your dream into a nightmare. As the game goes on, the dream world gets darker and scarier as the nightmares take over.
You must go on a quest to find the legendary “dream catcher” to stop the monsters and restore balance between dreams and nightmares. During your quest, you and Bo will explore different dream worlds with unique environments and play styles. Armed with a wooden toy sword and a dart gun, you will need to defeat a diverse set of monsters who stand in your way.

wish me luck!

Good LUCK !!

Just came across this great opportunity. We are a small group in Nigeria promoting game development education from elementary to post-high school. We started offering summer workshop on game development for students last year. You can check pg/megoldtech and www.megoldtech.com for photos from the workshops. Our curriculum is based on Digipen ProjectFUN program, https://projectfun.digipen.edu. DigiPen offers this support free without any commitment. We are looking for opportunities to expand and make this program more inclusive. We are very much interested in exposing the students to Unreal engine. Please advise if this Unreal Dev can support our efforts in Africa.
