How to get your Fortnite logs

At times, we will ask you to send us your logs when you’re having an issue in UEFN. Here is how to do that:

  1. Exit Fortnite.
  2. Click on Start or press the Windows Key + R.
  3. Type \AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Saved\Logs and press Enter.
  4. Zip your Logs folder and attach the zip file to your reply

Please let me know if you have any questions!

For future reference, if we ask for UEFN logs please find them here: \AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Saved\Logs. Thanks!

Would really be useful if when it crashes there was an option to just open log folder directly from crash report.

There is also a helpful new tool for uploading logs. If you go to Help → Report Issue in UEFN it should take you to a folder that contains your logs zipped up. Thanks!

In regards to the above, let us know if you have any issues with it. I’ll get it in the tutorial.

Is this something I can do even if the project thats crashing it wont open?
Can I open a working project or a new one and still get the Log info you need?

Hey @TheAweDam if a project isn’t able to open it might not be helpful to use the Report Issues button since opening a different project will likely cause you to zip up the logs that were created when opening the different project (not the ones that contain the crashes). If your project is crashing on opening you may need to grab the logs manually. Thanks.
