Hello everyone.
Every time I launch unreal 5.5 i get gpu crashed or d3d device removed.
It has been an on off problem in unreal since August.
Now 5.5 isnt loading at all, I made this thread before and I was hoping to be able to start my project again when 5.5 came out.
Still have the problem.
Heres my old unanswered thread.
I am now 5 months behind with my project.
I have bought ALL new hardware for my PC to try and fix this.
I have reinstalled window 10+ times, replaced my ram to 64 gig FuryX, replaced my ssd to NVME fury 2tb, replaced my cpu to ryzen 9 5950x, replaced my PSU, replaced my motherboard, replaced my ssds, restarted my project 3 times and reinstalled/installed Unreal Engine and Epic Launcher 60+ times, replaced hdmi cable, done the tdr and delay stuff 30+ times.
I have changed drivers 50+ times and reinstalled windows (clean wipe) 10+ times.
If this carries on beyond another week I am going to have to change it all to unity and recreate my game (plus learn unity).
Will Epic refund me for all of the assets I have bought through marketplace? Its becoming pretty clear its unusable.

Steps to Reproduce
Start unreal engine editor or use it for more than 5 minutes.
Expected Result
I expect it to work and load the software.
Observed Result
It crashes and a window pops up saying gpu crashed or d3d device removed.
I tried 5.4 again.
I think this may be the most useless software I have ever used!
I think I am running at around 10% of actual development time with the software without it crashing!
Quite the record! Maybe THE most useless software ever made!
I would like a refund on ALL of my assets please Epic, as you dont like responding to my emails or bugs.
I tried changing the DX12 to DX11 and it worked for a bit before crashing and freezing my PC!
I cant believe I thought that might work!
I need lumen and nanite enabled for my work of course so I need dx12 anyway but what was I thinking! lol! Of course its not going to work!
I think it might be Nvidea GPUs that dont work with unreal engine maybe?
I dont know why they put RTX into unreal engine 5 when t doesnt work but then again why did they put in nanite, lumen and megalights?
I think unreal might be good if you want to learn windows debugging or if you have an AMD maybe?
