Gpu Crashed or d3d device removed (Unusable Unreal Engine)

Hello everyone,

Once again I find myself trying to use the most unusable software ever made.
5 month problem now.

Cant launch Unreal Engine Editor.

gpu crashed or d3d device removed error.

pc: ryzen 9 5950X, RTX 3080 (10 gig), ddr4 64 gig Fury Ram, 2 tb Fury nvme m.2, 6 tb ssd, windows 10.

Have tried every single thing suggested on the internet (probably every website too). Have emailed epic several times over several months with no response).
Have created these threads:

https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/gpu-crash-dump-gpu-crashed-or-d3d-device-removed-problem/

https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/gpu-crashed-or-d3d-device-removed

Nothing solved, nothing works, no replies, no repsonses from epic.
Have replaced every part of my pc and upgraded everything.

I am now 5 months behind with my project.

After you guys got frustrated with Unreal Engine being unusable what engine did you move to?
Did you get all your money back from Epic for all of your assets, blueprints and things you bought on quixel, fab, marketplace etc?

I am facing the same problem here. I have downloaded Unreal 5.5.4 to learn & I am unable to even enter the software. I have an HP OMEN laptop with Intel(R) Core™ i7-14650HX 2GB | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU 8GB | 24GB 5600MT/s RAM.

Can anyone tell me what to do? I have tried everything mentioned on the internet from changing the Regedit values to even tweaking the NVIDIA settings. I have even tried installing 5.4.4 but with the same issue. any help to solve this would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I am running 5.5.4 and it seems to be more stable with dx12.
I am using nanite and tesslation so I need dx12.
I have found when unreal goes through its phases of not working you are best running in dx11 and waiting it out until a new version fixes their breakages.
Not good… at all.
I am about 6 months behind with development myself (cost me about 12k).
