CREATORS SPAMMING MAPS TO APPEAR IN DISCOVERY

you only need about 1000 plays in a short time period to be XP eligible. 1000 plays in under a couple days will do it. It has nothing to do with with time since launched. Short bursts of plays is enough to calibrate a map from my experience.

on of the maps awarding xp has under 500 plays… and is awarding xp?

infinis still in more islands with the exact same maps with exact same names, a month now with all of their copy-paste maps in more islands

now, they have 3 in the same collection’s new and updated tab:

really this is just exposing how bad the collections have gotten. in most collections especially ones like lego its just one or two accounts taking the top 10 slots of new and updated. this just makes it extremely obvious given they are just the exact same maps with the exact same promos and names, kind of just shows exactly how gamed this ecosystem has become.

new and updated is currently 10ish different accounts with the same map promo and map names.

later* top 2 in both the new and updated tabs.

@Epic is this a concern? Do you care? This post has been going on for quite a while now and you have exactly 3 comments. 145 Up Votes. Its been two weeks since your “fix”. Is this just the new norm?

I’ve watched this fake “simpsons” tycoon map get unpublished multiple times over the past few days, every time they republish under a slightly different name or image, hope to god they’re not actually getting paid for this. I’m actually appalled by the lack of moderation or care.

infinis now has 5 of their copy-paste maps in new and updated kpop collection and 8 in more islands atm.

as well, the other copy-paste spammers who have 2 are now also in new and updated taking top 5 slots.

thanks and keep up the diligent work.
The typing of names in text has been beneficial.
I have been watching this thread and showing it to my Work Brothers who have been keeping a slight interest in our UEFN stuff.

more than a month of these same maps in the more islands tab of kpop demon hunters collection, now taking over new and updated big time. what is going on? that is far too long considering how new this collab with x hunters was. it genuinely hurts any momentum it had. these collections are so gamed by all avenues, it is very concerning.

Saturday Night, 14 of Infinis’s 16 maps in More Islands. 14 maps calibrated and awarding xp. 14 of the exact same maps, with the exact same names with the exact same promos, all in the exact same tab.

They posted a new map yesterday and as usual they were given a ton of discovery to prop it up. Terrible stats, as always.

How are they getting the xp so fast with few players ?

Honestly what’s the point of posting more and more about their maps? Epic is not doing anything right now to these individuals, just let them do whatever since it’s not “breaking” the rules and wait until Epic does something EVENTUALLY.

getting worse every time

imagine only having 150 players while taking up this many slots

@Flak The above millions of same maps with same thumbnails and same game, and then my one game with complete unique game design and stuff worked on for months, gets flagged during it’s recent update for it’s thumbnail with “The thumbnail is misleading, inappropriate, or does not represent the actual in-game experience. This is not allowed.”

I appealled the outcome by mentionining I have used this thumbnail for over 10 version releases now, and It’s my own created thumbnail. So how come all these scam thumbnails who are all the same and ‘does not reflect the gameplay’ pass moderation without any issues, but my one unique thumbnail designed by myself for my game, does not pass modernation while my appeal to the outcome is also rejected. Now I can’t appeal again.

While if you check the cars mega ramp keywords, tell me if any of these thumbnails “accurately reflect the gameplay experience?“ So how come all of these thumbs have passed moderation?

Epic, how do creators appeal an appeal if they feel an outcome was unfair? This is a game thumbnail and why are some creators flagged while others publish so many maps with thumbnails like the above?

Look, this sounds weird. I update regularly, I submit new maps in the style I like. Before, the new map would come out every 2 or 3 days… updates all the time. Now, the new thing I submit takes 15 days… no updates at all. And like I said, people I know get it checked out on almost 90% of what they do. I’m in the bottom 1%, and I’ve gone from 10,000 impressions to 50 just like that, and I don’t even appear on 90% of my maps.

I have two accounts, I’ve been making maps for two years now, and from various ideas… I try to make sure the reviews don’t fail… and it’s a constant struggle while those you’re talking about just skip everything… Anyway.

Another disheartening week for our small studio. Our brand new game didn’t even get any discover time since published on Friday 21st, while during the weekend when we played our discover being plagued by same thumbnail same spam maps. Til now our new game still didn’t get discover, made a post about it here: New Map Is not Going Into Discover Even After 4 Days While Spam Maps Get Discover Time
