Yup, obviously not a priority. Been posting about this for over a year.
This would probably be a very quick fix for them, but if not, I can see why they donāt bother fixing it. They are obviously going to come out with an alternative to the billboard device. I would rather them work on new things then to fix stuff that has a very easy workaround.

What are you all using Billboards for? What alternatives do you have in mind?
Iām using billboards for onboarding & button labels.
Alternatives Iām thinking of doing:
- Onboarding: Popup device with custom widget
- Button Labels: Some type of texture or material. Havenāt assessed options yet.
Yes using a few Hud elements here and there, but i replaced my billboards with simply custom textures where having localization isnāt that important I guess. Everyone knows English already right?
Im having this issue still too. Why was this closed over a year ago and theyve ignored it?

Hey, this bug has started to appear in 1.0 aswell. Loading an island, will sometimes fail to show text on billboards until the player hovers over it with edit permissions, or reloads the device.
I confirm this is still an issue affecting any project

You can just jip on any island that doesnāt update the billboard frequently through verse.
Might take a few attempts but can repro.
I have no issue disabling my verse bug fix and repro it with a video if thatās what the team needs ? @Flak
