I think it was fixed for a bit (inadvertently by Epic), because we launched a new game in early January and it had billboards/JIP players and all was good. About an hour after I answered your question my partner said hey the billboards are not showing information. I think a recent update broke it again. Ugh.

27 June 2025 - This bug is still exist. Please fix it. New players didn’t see billboards.

Just want to +1. I’m unable to repro myself. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s definitely happening though, and I’ve personally noticed it happening since the big update in early June

Yeah I think they fixed it unintentionally from my original post, but it is DEFINATELY broken again. And agreed it happens randomly.

This bug still happens. Please reopen this issue. It’s wild that this has been happening for years and not fixed yet.

Some billboards simply do not render for some JIP players.

Can confirm this still happens, but quick fix is to push an update to the text value of the BB it seems.

This has stopped working too so now it doesnt show text fully for jip or in my game it doesnt

Yes that works, but the value has to be different than what is already loaded.

I have experienced this bug. It’s intermittent. Billboards are not guaranteed to load on mobile when I’m the first to load into the experience.

Vote for this page (at the top on PC) if you can. Maybe that will help move this along?

This issue is over a yr old now

If you could sum up the reason you feel like giving up on this system the most what would it be…

100% Bugs and the delay in fixing them

Yup, between the bugs and constant work around’s which end up taking more than 50% of map development time. And don’t forget all the discovery issues…my motivation is at an all time low.
