AI Creatures, Wildlife, Guards not moving/chasing player

Hello friends,

I came across a peculiar bug yesterday when I was trying to add some creatures. They seem to be stuck in some state and can’t move. The same issue can observer in other AI spawners like wildlife, guard etc. I tried creating a new level within the same project and AI seems to be working perfectly there.

Is there any known issue with AI navigation on landscape? Do I need to bake navmesh for my landscape?

Thank you for your report! We would like to look into this further, would you be able to submit a bug report using the form available here: Fortnite Creative

What’s your Z height while you are on the ground? Might be needed for the report.

As a workaround, you can identify which height works for wildlife and then shift your floor and everything up/down.

I noticed wildlife could walk on my builds when it could not on the ground, so I think if you can align your level with grid (floor at least) then raptors will work.

Hello Aditya,

Can you turn on the Navigation Debug option from the Island Setting → Debug tab to see if the navmesh is properly generated?

Navmesh is supposted generated automatically on the server side and you don’t need to manually bake something for it.
