Summary

I have guard spawner devices placed in my level, but the guards don’t move when they spawn. They just stand there and do nothing. They will respond to a player when the player gets close enough and fire on them, but they still do not move.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Simply put a Guard Spawner in the level.

Expected Result

The guards should move around within the max patrol distance.
Enabled at game start is checked.
Enable Patrol is checked.
Max patrol distance has a value.

Observed Result

Guards spawn, but do not move.

Platform(s)

Additional Notes

I made a post earlier with a screenshot image here: Guards respond to players but do not move!
Somebody suggested to use standard FN floor assets, but what I am using is the standard FN floor assets.
This morning I found another post by someone who had the same issue a few weeks ago, but no solution was presented.
AI Creatures, Wildlife, Guards not moving/chasing player
Staff member DreamMaker asked them if they can see the navmesh when they turn on the Navigation Debug option, but they havn’t yet responded. I have tried, but no navmesh appears for me.
In my Island Settings, I have the following checked:
Debug
Navigation
Verse Debug Draw
Fast Iteration Mode

@Alien-lady I hope you don’t mind me tagging you, but I noticed you mention in a similar post that you were looking into the issue. It’s been a few weeks since I submitted my report and haven’t had a response yet.
Nothing I’ve been trying seems to work, The guards were patrolling at one point, then they suddenly stopped. I don’t know if it had something to do with an update. Did you manage to find out what was causing the issue in the other project?
I’ve found that I cannot reveal the nav mesh and think that might have something to do with it.

This is my original post about it.

I need to bump this because I have received zero feedback on the issue.
I have created other projects and am not experiencing the same problem in them.
Nothing I seem to try makes a difference. It is literally the last thing I need to rectify before I submit for a public publish of this project.

I am having the same issue they only patrol when I get close enough, did you find a fix?
