I’m trying to set the right amount of wind effect to my foliage but there is a disconnect between how it looks when I’m editing and when I’m playing in the editor. I have a material where wind effect is changing according to the foliage Z position so it’s stronger the higher the foliage is placed. It works fine when I’m placing the foliage in the editor but as soon as I try to play the level it seems that the amount of wind effect is the same no matter where the foliage is placed. Anyone knows what is causing this disconnect?
Sorry I’m a newb, but here’s an obvious answer: are you using a 2D linear gradient to set the strength of the wind from root to tip? There’s also a 3D gradient option for wind strength. If you aren’t already doing that, you should set one of these up.
