Create a Physical Asset for the skeletal mesh and see if it helps.

I already have

Hey TakeTimeGames I Am having the same problem as you are. I was hoping that you had figured out why its not receiving shadows. My character looks great when lighting isn’t built but once i do build it its like his textures are plugged into emissive.

My directional light was the the problem. I don’t know how to get it to cast dynamic shadows. I removed the light and built my lighting and everything seems to be working but I’d prefer to have my directional light on for the light shafts.

Ok after messing around with it for a few days I found out that my last comment was wrong. I went into my skeletal mesh and looked under the mesh details and saw that my materials had Cast Shadows unchecked. Also, Your scene might be really dark as well. check Show>Post Processing_Eye actuation. Apparently my scene was insanely dark, so when i added my directional light the character looked completely blown out with no shadows. You might have to fix your other lighting after this. I wish that I had known about the Eye actuation before because now I have to figure out how to relight my scene.

Do you have lit version on in the top menu?
if not just select it and play in editor it might put some shadows on 4 u

Oh and also have to built a point light?
all you need to do is right click and select actor then light point. Rotate it a bit as well for added effect!
