Why are textures on character different in each eye in virtual reality? In my left eye I can see the character's skin fine, but my right eye it looks like a ghost.

I am currently running Unreal Engine 4.26 with a HTC Vive (original). I imported the character from Character Creator 3 using their plugin. Everything looks fine in 2D on the screen. When I look in through my VR headset, though, only one eye renders the skin texture of the character (that is, my left eye sees her skin fine, but my right eye shows almost a ghost look in the HMD). The clothing looks fine in both eyes as does the hair). Any ideas on why it would be different in each eye in the VR headset?

I was having some problems with left eye/right eye differences in 4.26 as well. However, the 4.26.1 updated fixed the issues for me. Have you tried upgrading to that version, yet?

Thanks for writing. I did the 4.26.1 upgrade, but still find the same problem. Were there any other changes you made that I can try?

I appreciate it.

Just checking if others have the same trouble or have a way to fix it. I am still running into the issue. I keep trying different things, but have no luck.

If you run into this problem, go into Project Settings and turn “Instanced Stereo” off, restart, turn it back on, and the problem will be resolved. I just check this in 4.26.1 and it worked for my project.

nearly 2 years later in unreal engine 5.1. this still is an issue.
Unfortunately the workaround did not work for me.
