Change the Blend Mode of the material to “Masked” (To find that option, click on the material inputs box and it should be on the left hand side, third option down), then connect your alpha map to the Opacity Mask input.
Hello,
I need to use an alpha map to make the leaves of a tree in Unreal Engine but I don’t know where I need to add an alpha map.
Can you help me ?
Thank you in advance,
Cordially
It works
Thank you very much
thank you!! -i have been searching for this answer, been driving me crazy ( i knew it had to be simple, arghh!)
Thank you for this. I had to redo an assignment and I didnt see this last time I searched a couple weeks ago but finding this is going to make my trees look more like trees now
Thanks so much! This saved me hours of frusteration.
I have a question. I have a texture that has the name “Alpha” on it, and from what I understand I gonna connect it to the Opacity mask. Which make sense. But here comes my question. Should I connect the Alpha Texture by dragging the RGB box to the Opacity Mask? Or should I only grab and drag the A box to the Opacity Mask?
