When will path tracer be available on Mac OS?

yes we are responsible for researching, but they are responsible for clearly state that a feature is not available on a platform, not simply leave it to us finding it out.

Hi GoosePT! thank you for the hint. I do have Parallell desktop too. So wouldn't it be possible to jump Vectorworks on OS to Twinmotion on Win and have the path tracer option available? I thought it was also a hardware problem.

Thank you.

I never tried Revit or TM on Parallels, if you have a nice internet connection and spend the 30€ monthly fee, I assure you you will be very happy with shadow! I use it for work and for play... If you need any extra input about shadow, just let me know!

shadow? is it a open source app?

No, I wish!

It's a cloud computing service.

It crashes on my m1 max MBP16. and my MBP reboot it self......

Which version of macOS you are using ?

Using Mac OS Ventura on a PB with M1Max chip and 64GB ram.

I am using the same laptop and it works perfectly, I would even say better than the 2022 version.

are you using Ventura as OS on your PB?

What am I doing wrong then? Could there be any clashes in the background between TM 202/ and the new 2023?

I have kept TM 2022.3 as the 2023 is only a preview version so far.

Some of the characters and vegetation are rendered either dark or colourless.

a bit strange. Usually the upgrades and installations are straight forward.

I may need to re install and see how it goes.

thank you for your feedback.

Path Tracing dramatically improves the quality of renderings, especially interior renderings. It’s the difference between good and amazing. At this point you should not buy a Mac if you want to use Twinmotion to the best of its ability.

hello I wanna know more infomation about shadow. How work twinmotion from that app. I have a macbook pro i9, 32gb ram, 8gb video. Model 2019. my question is, just installing twinmotion inside shadow i can work my model, whitout have any problem? i be waiting for your answer, this information is very importan for me

May '22? Has this fell by the wayside?

Honestly looking back I wish I had just gotten a PC vs trying to deal with all the workarounds for a Mac. Using a virtual machine via Shadow has been working really well. It even lead me to try another program called D5 which the results definitley surpass Twinmotion for interior renderings. D5 also is only for PC w/ no Mac version - their interface is very sim. to TM but TM wins on overall user friendliness. But the quality of the realism in d5 is really pretty cool. My suggestion is go to a PC and try D5.

Nice to find a fellow Shadow user.

I'm a 4 years very happy Shadow costumer.

I also tried D5 but because I had on my Shadow a P5000 graphic card it wasn't possible run it. Then they change it to a GTX 1080, but I never tried D5 on it.

What's your graphic card on Shadow? And how D5 reforms?

One walk around I found was compose my scene on Mac TM and then render on Shadow TM.

Basically I still on Lumion on my shadow, and the main reason is the grass tool. My workflow is Revit -> Lumion, and place 3D grass is just on click.

Not sure of the specs for Shadow but you can check on their website. D5 performs great!

Same here, no .2

Ventura ?

I am on Somona ....
