Hi,
It looks like RenderSceneToTextures is called but the Material is not completely loaded and Initialized.
Adding this fixes it as per our internal testing.
static void RenderSceneToTextures
...
for (const TPair<EFlattenMaterialProperties, TPair<FName, float>>& Pair : SupportedProperties)
{
UMaterialInterface* VisMaterial = GetBufferVisualizationData().GetMaterial(Pair.Value.Key);
if (VisMaterial)
{
VisMaterial->EnsureIsComplete();
}
}

Steps to Reproduce
- Load a World Partition map in Editor
- Select an HLOD
- In HLOD details, click Build HLOD
- Notice the texture is wrong on the generated HLOD
- Again: In HLOD details, click Build HLOD
- Notice the HLOD texture is now correct.
This only happens on the very first time an HLOD is generated by clicking ‘build HLOD’ button in editor. This occurs on any selected HLOD.

Hi,
CL#58163862 is the fix for that problem.
I know you already found it from the other case but I’m pasting the info here in case other users are monitoring.
Regards,
Martin
