What is this type of shader or whatever?

Eyo, once again regarding translucency shader.

i actually came across 2 games that had a very interesting shader for two-sided translucent objects.
I player GTA and saw this


This feature is also in one of the Crash Bandicoot games.

It’s like multiple circles just appears when you look at the object from different Angles. i’m just wondering if this is possible to achieve, or has this method even been seen before in unreal? It really makes two-sided translucent object looks better.

The effect is simillar to GTA’s translucent material :o
