What is the best ASUS laptop for Unreal 5?

Preferably a model with an Intel CPU that wouldn’t crash. Most laptops in my country come with an Intel CPU. Thanks!

Personally id recommend a desktop build if you can, much easier to upgrade as the engine develops and requires more powerful hardware

Hey @Mah_1990!

The model you shared in this post of yours would be sufficient to use UE 5.

I see a lot of people asking the question “Appropriate hardware for Unreal Engine”, the thing is, pretty much any modern gaming PC can as well be used to develop games with UE. There’s no problem with that. The actual question is what kind of games you’ll be able to make with the hardware you specified.

  • 4080 Mobile has 12GB of VRAM which is great! You won’t face any limitations for medium scale projects. You won’t be able to work on very realistic large scenes with it, but I assume that won’t be a problem for you anyway.
  • 32GB of RAM is the officially recommended minimum RAM capacity for UE5, so you’re also good with that! It’s enough to get you a decent experience from the editor, with no lags or occasional freezes.
  • We don’t even need to know the CPU since it’s a laptop. Manufacturers already pair up CPU’s and GPU’s appropriately in laptops. Though I do know about i9 14th gen 14900HX, it’s great! It’ll go up to 95 degree celsius on high workload but that’s really not an issue. The issue is about stability, but it won’t cause you any issues while developing your game.

In conclusion, you’ll be able to make medium scale projects with this hardware with no problem :star_struck:

Hope this helps!

I would say go for the Asus Zephyrus G14/16 laptops, they are top class (Ryzen is reallllly good nowadays lol) but if you choose intel that is what the clients wants lmao, they do have an intel option
