What can I do to make my lighting and materials more interesting here?

I’m rendering this car using assets from Turbosquid, the unreal marketplace, or the creative commons, but my lighting and the materials of my vehicle still look flat. What can I do to make this car shine like a real car would? It still looks plastic and not really shiny. Here’s what some of my renders look like.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BYzE1ToyfXA489_q6xYIEfYS8TWJhtH7/view?usp=sharing

Can you show the car material? Are you using Epic’s new shaders?

I am trying to use their new shaders. Here are the materials I’m using. The vehicle’s textures are split up between the body of the car, the number plate, and the wheels. The glass is just a regular translucent material.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, your pics look very dry.

I’ve had a go with your textures, I think you need a couple of things to make it pop.

  1. A post process volume to control the exposure

  1. A skylight with an hdr image that suits your scene. You’d need an hdr of a car showroom. I’m using the Scene preview cube here

Then, with a point light etc

To be clear, there’s only a skylight here ( and the green point light ).

You can loads of free hdrs from

I got ‘lebombo’ ( 2k )

and put a bit of floor in the pic
