What Are You Working On? Community Screenshots & Videos

Congrats on finishing it Samifira! It looks ! =)

Hey, nice job, I really like the style! Once you are ready with your VR project, you could join my RTS game
I’m planning an ancient historic game, but no hurry, I’m just coding the core part (pathfinding, AI etc.).

I love that i could do now own basic stuff, from scratch in UE4.
Gives me a good freetime-feeling / experience.
But one thing changed completely for me.
I am no longer a gamer, more an observer.
Only “playing” games now, to look for specific fun causing things and trying to recreate(very basic) the feel.
The machinery in old games like doom or quake are my “idols”.
As a nice “subproduct” my english gets better…

Hey everyone!
My brother and i design challenge game for devices. If you liked , post an assessment in Thread](.unrealengine/showthread.php?105083-MOBILE-Color-Drop-arcade-mobile-game).
Your opinion is very important to us!

Currently doing only little tasks, when I’m taking breaks from my thesis.

I did a little experimentation/proof of conecpt with POM and decals for my project.

Somehow POM crashes the video driver when used with decals when I’m doing the exact same thing in an empty project though … so I’ve got to figure out which settings enable me to do that in case my configs get lost.

Some animations for my London Taxi:

impressive “doubleDoor” i want to see more

We’re currently knee deep in mechanics stuff and research for our game Shades of black since we’re currently only 2 guys. But nevertheless we’ve recently prepared a teaser trailer to give you a glimpse of the game’s atmosphere. Hope you’ll enjoy watching it as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it. If you’ll love what you see you can always support us by saying your cheers on in the game’s thread

Thank you for watching

That looks @Roland_Price!! Great teaser!

I’m now struggling with post-processing. are two exaples of what I currently have.

I don’t want it to look bland and unfinished, but I also don’t want anything too stylized and I’m not sure if what I have currently looks anything good.

Maybe to much roughness, or to little specular? Try connecting the red specular node of the diffuse texture into the specular material node… or add a constant value with about 0.5?

Nice render. I kinda find texturing assets pretty straight forward but I haven’t come across a UE lighting setup that shows it well like in engine. You mind elaborating on your ue scene?

One of the new assets for my upcoming free expansion update. =)

Ok so I improved my settings menu. Last time you had to press “Back” every time you wanted to change to another tab and saving settings was also separate for each tab (You had to press “Save Changes” then “Back” and then you could move to a different category where you had to do the same thing). Now you can switch between tabs however you want and pressing “Save Changes” saves all of them. I placed the tabs on top leaving empty space on the left side of the screen where you will be able to get a preview of what the settings actually change. For example the camera will move closer to an object in the background scene (it’s empty for now) so you will be able to see clearly how shadows look like using different settings.

I also optimized it better by merging some widgets, removing the unnecessary ones and cutting the number of variables in save file in half.

Working on a music player actor , it load .ogg files at runtime from HD that the player can use his own music, plus the skin is loaded at runtime too and player can make his own skin with photoshop (or Gimp).

video is from the first usable stage, made it 10 days ago

the actual state of the player with custom skin (not very fancy skin, i’m not an artist  )

:o

A couple of screens from a project I’m prototyping out. First map is a nightclub. Still need to get some of the assets made, things like the bar and drinks, but I think I’m getting the atmosphere looking just about right. Thankfully I’ve got a good number of marketplace packs to work with.
