Weird Shadows/Lightning on mesh after building light

Everytime I build light, I get dark shades on my meshes and their shadows get weird. With unbuilt lightning it looks all fine.

Here are the settings:

the unbuilt lighting is dynamic.

that looks similar to an issue i had with a lot of trees in the foliage system. i was getting light map size areas so i reduced their light map to 8x8. that stopped the complaint but resulted in blob shadows. i never had the time to go back and fix it.

are you using foliage on terrain?
