Water body surface squared shadows issue

Shadows from a static meshes and foliage goes square/jagged from a certain pov
No matter RayTracing turned on or off. Using standart water plugin. Any ideas how to fix this?

Switching the shadow method to virtual shadow maps helps but isnt properly ideal in some cases.
If you go to the water material, and tweak the Anisotropy value in the Water Material Instance or in the Water Master Material, the shadows will start getting blurrier which will help A LOT. Anisotropy at 0.9 or 1 helped me.
Beware that if you use foam in the water, the shadows will stay blocky in the foam no matter the Anisotropy level.
Alternatively you can also increase the cascaded shadow map resolution by using this cvar: ( r.shadow.maxcsmresolution 1024 ) the bigger the number the better resolution you will get, high numbers are extremely resource intensive.
