It’s a hotfix for the issues in the 4.4.1 preview build that was released. Should be released too if they’re talking about getting access to it in the launcher downloads via the shortcut switch.
Edit: I think you can just edit the launcher shortcut with that switch and it should give an option to download the hotfix for 4.4.1 preview, basically. Presumably you want 4.4.1 installed first.
