Volumetric Fog Lighting

Hi,

I’m trying to make it so I can have my volumetric fog be of proper lighting. I’ve changed my scene to night time and the fog is still illuminated.

This is the fog lit up during the day.

This is the fog lit up in the night when I’m close to it. The fog is far away from any spot light I’ve created.

This is the fog lit up with my spot light but the rest of the fog is lit up as well. Shouldn’t the fog be dark grey/black besides where it is lit up? Please let me know what I can do! So that when I drag it in the dark, it’s of a darker color and in the light it’s the proper lighting color / lighting itself. Thank you.

EDIT
When I’m close to the fog it looks correct. When I’m farther away past my 40,000 unit viewing distance (Exponential Height Fog → Volumetric Fog → View Distance) it shows the light again. Any ideas?

SOLVED - Make sure Volumetric Light Scattering under your Directional Light is turned to 0!
