Volume devices are visible in UEFN in 'game view'

Summary

While in ‘game view’ mutator zones and volume devices have always been hidden from view as they should be. Since the recent update volume devices are no longer hidden in ‘game view’. This defeats the purpose of using ‘game view’ as volume devices will still be visible.

Steps to Reproduce

Place a volume device into your map. Hit the G key to enter ‘game view’. Volume device is still visible.

Expected Result

While in ‘game view’ the volume device should not be visible.

Observed Result

Volume device is visible while in ‘game view’ inside of UEFN.

Hi Norrin,

Thanks for the report, I agree that this is unexpected behavior.

As a workaround, I found that you can select the ‘FNE_VolumeOverlapComponent’ (A component of the Volume Device) and enable ‘Hidden in Game’ to hide it in ‘Game Mode’ view.

Thanks, you are correct. Having these both checked in the FNE component will get it to behave as it used to. I probably won’t change all of mine for now but if needed that’s a solution for now.

I always get worried about making changes like this as I’m not sure what it will affect if/when the unintended behavior gets fixed.
