[URGENT] Lag Spikes - Switching weapons in an island with Custom Items & Inventories enabled

Summary

When players quickly switch weapons using their scroll wheel, frame rate drops dramatically, making the game unplayable. We were reproduce this bug in other islands.

Enter 1v1 With Every Gun, load inventory with weapons (custom or fortnite, no difference), scroll quickly through weapons, notice extreme frame rate drop.

Expected Result

No performance issues related to switching weapons.

Observed Result

Extreme frame rate loss and lag.

This is an urgent issue tha needs to be resolved. Happens on one of my maps too

This issue is especially persistent in islands with the “Use Latest HUD” setting on (Chapter 7 inventory HUD)

Can confirm this is an issue, not just with 1v1 with every gun but all uefn/creative maps.

It seems this bug may actually be related to Chapter 7 UI, “Use Latest HUD” in Island Settings. Changing to the default or IP HUDs does not degrade FFPS on switching weapons.

this affects maps without custom items and inventories enabled, if they have that HUD setting
