Unexplained red color lighting

I have a closed room with lights that are supposed to be white. After building, the room went dark. So, I increased the intensity and the indirect lighting. Extra info: I might have also changed the environment color in world settings (but not to red :/)

This is what it looks like

Hi,

It’s hard to tell what could possibly be going on without seeing your world settings panel. Can you post a screen shot of that and check all your lights to make sure that none of the color values are changed?

Can you try a couple of things to narrow this down:

  • Do you have a post process in the scene? If so, can you disable it (affects world unchecked).
  • I can see the lights in the back end look like they are giving off a white glow and not red. If you have a light you believe is the issue can you delete it or uncheck affects world and then rebuild lighting.
  • Go through the scene outliner and start turning visibility (the eye symbol) to closed for objects in the scene to make sure something here didn’t get set wrong perhaps.

Give these a shot and let me know.

Thank you!

Tim

I’m guessing you wanted to see these world settings [1].

I don’t think I have a post process in the scene. If the answer is not in the world settings, could it have to do with the reflection of the materials/textures the lights are being reflected off?

Did you try turning objects in the scene outline off for their visibility and if so, was there a specific object that removed the red with it?

Another test to rule out the point lights would be to go into the details panel for each one and uncheck the box “Affects world” to disable them. Then add a new point light to the middle of your room and up the intensity to make it brighter. Bake lighting and see if this at least gets rid of the red. This way we can rule out the lights and start looking elsewhere if the issue persists.

Thank you!

Tim
