Unable to Install Unreal Engine – Install Engine and + Buttons Do Nothing

I am unable to install any Unreal Engine version through the Epic Games Launcher.

System:

  • Windows 11
  • Windows build: 10.0.26200.9168
  • Epic Games Launcher UI Build: v26.5.18-cc208e09
  • Epic installer: EpicInstaller-20.1.4-f8562dfadbcd4e33a81ddbb15646340a.exe

What happens:

  1. Open Epic Games Launcher.
  2. Go to Unreal Engine → Library.
  3. There are currently no Engine Versions installed.
  4. Click the yellow Install Engine button.
  5. Nothing happens.
  6. Click the yellow + beside ENGINE VERSIONS.
  7. Nothing happens.

No engine-version tile appears, no download begins, and no error message is displayed.

Expected behavior:

Clicking Install Engine or the + button should create an Engine Version entry and allow selection/installation of Unreal Engine.

Troubleshooting already performed:

  • Completely uninstalled the Epic Games Launcher.
  • Removed leftover Epic/Unreal installation folders from previous installations.
  • Rebooted Windows.
  • Reinstalled the current Epic Games Launcher.
  • Cleared %LOCALAPPDATA%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\webcache_4430.
  • Completely exited and restarted the Launcher after clearing the cache.
  • Tested with a custom install directory.
  • Tested again using the default Epic Games Launcher installation path and default Unreal Engine install location.

The behavior is the same with both custom and default install paths.

The Launcher otherwise appears to function normally.

There is no visible error when either installation button is pressed — they simply do nothing.

I can provide Launcher logs or additional system information if needed.

Question: Is this a known Launcher issue, and is there currently a workaround for installing Unreal Engine when the Install Engine and + controls do not respond?

Same here i cant install and also tired everyhting i could find…
