Summary
Hi, I’m having an issue where UEFN gets stuck at 90% during startup after the latest update.
The loading text shows either:
“90% - Fetching Creative mode profile”
UEFN never finishes launching.
I have already tried:
- Clearing the local AppData cache
- Deleting/renaming the UnrealEditorFortnite local folder
- Clearing Epic Games Launcher webcache
- Verifying both Fortnite and UEFN
- Logging out and back into Epic Games Launcher
- Restarting the PC
- Uninstalling and reinstalling UEFN
Fortnite itself launches normally.
I also checked the log. From what I can see, ValkyrieFetchCreativeProfile appears to succeed:
ValkyrieFetchCreativeProfile … step_succeeded
OnlineAccount.Login … operation_succeeded
ValkyrieOnlineAccount … set_account_status Old:[NotLoggedIn] New:[LoggedIn]
Lore login succeeded
However, the editor still remains stuck at 90% and never opens.
This started after the latest update, so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, or if there is a known workaround.
Please let me know if there are specific logs I should provide.

Steps to Reproduce
- Update Fortnite / UEFN to v41.10.
- Launch UEFN from the Epic Games Launcher.
- Wait for the startup loading screen.
- UEFN reaches 90%.
- The loading text shows either “Fetching Creative mode profile” or “Loading PostEngineInit modules for plugin: ValkyrieFortnite”.
- UEFN stays stuck there and never finishes launching.
I have already tried clearing the local AppData cache, renaming/deleting the UnrealEditorFortnite local folder, clearing the Epic Games Launcher webcache, verifying both Fortnite and UEFN, logging out and back into Epic Games Launcher, restarting the PC, and uninstalling/reinstalling UEFN.
Expected Result
UEFN should finish loading after reaching 90% and open the editor normally.
Observed Result
UEFN gets stuck at 90% and never launches.

Fortnite itself launches normally. In the UEFN log, ValkyrieFetchCreativeProfile appears to succeed, and the account login also appears to succeed, but the editor still remains stuck at 90%.
