Checking around the community, there are multiple threars regarding the issue, it’s currently being investigated. For the moment, the workaround is to open UE using the -d3d11 launch option.
Before the newest update, I was able to run UEFN on my computer. Now, I cannot run it anymore. I think this is due to the game now using UE 5.7. To be honest, it ran poorly already as my laptop is 5 years old and kind of a cheaper model that uses Intel UHD. I have no clue if you all can help backlog the system requirements to make it more broad for older devices, but I guess that’s the only plea I can make. Otherwise, I may have to get a new laptop. Summary
After the Aug 7, 2025 UEFN update, the editor will no longer launch on Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
It shows:
A Feature Level 5 video card is required to run the editor. AvailableFeatureLevel = ES3_1, ShaderPlatform = PCD3D_ES31
However, my GPU fully supports Shader Model 5 (SM5) and DirectX 12.
