UEFN will sometimes freeze and you will not be able to close it, the only way to close it is VIA task manager. Ending the UEFN task will freeze your PC.
You can try to replicate the issue incase its just my on my end.

Could you provide more details about what you were doing before the freeze occurred? Was this while the editor was starting up, or were you in a project and performing a specific action before the hang occurred?

This UEFN freeze is also happening to me. It completly freezes after a couple seconds when I open my project and try to do something on it. I can only close the editor via task manager.
My EUFN also keeps freezing, mine froze for the 1st time when it said āUpdating out-of-date packagesā. I then closed the app through task manager and now when I start the application its frozen. I have reinstalled the app 4 times and still no response.
I have attached a picture of what appears when I open the editor.
Hello All! If youāre able to reproduce the freeze please follow these steps:
- Run Process Explorer
- Right click the UnrealEditorFortnite.exe
- Create Dump ā Create Minidump
Once created if you could DM me the minidump file and what you were doing before the freeze that would be very helpful. Thanks!

yeah mine keeps freezing every time i load a project and before then it would just randomly crash ive had problems with it sense launch day i really want to use this but i have been forced to stick to 1.0 creative
@pluckywoodjr if UEFN is freezing for long enough to capture a minidump please follow these steps when it freezes UEFN Freeze - #5 by HalcyonKnight96 Iāll take a look at your crashes as well.

The same happens to me multiple times a day, i think it looses the connection to fortnite after a while and then uefn freezes, totally unresponsive.
i have a feeling they will work out these problems out before the end of the beta
