Summary
UEFN 31.30 crashes when trying to make project with Day Sequencer
Steps to Reproduce
Open UEFN 31.30
Go to Feature Templates
Select Day Sequencer template
Enter name like “MyDaySeq3130”
Click “Create”
at 86% a UEFN Fortnite Crashed
Enter in box Testing Day Sequencer Template
Send and close
Kill the remaining stuck UEFN with Windows Task Manager
Reboot PC because Fortnite has frozen completely
UEFN Restarts after crash, but still need to reboot PC
Why not try to remove the Feature Template until it’s fixed?
If you delete the FN Creative DayTime(SkyDome) device UEFN now replaces this with the Verse-coded version

Produce new Day Sequence Project
Observed Result
UEFN 31.30 Crashes at 87% of Project creation
Platform(s)

Is anyone else getting this? We’re unable to repro here.
On further attempts we found that we could reproduce a hitch locally but not a crash. We are looking into the cause of the hitch.
I am not sure if you are getting prompted with the crash reporter (it sounds like it), is it indicating that there was a fatal error? You may be able to continue and eventually get the island to load.
hi @nickolas.drake , @Flak
Found the UEFN log. First looked in Fortnite log
The last few lines show the crash
UnrealEditorFortnite-backup-2024.08.16-10.15.46.log (1.7 MB)
And another crash log
UnrealEditorFortnite-backup-2024.08.16-11.08.53.log (1.3 MB)
finally go this line in
[2024.08.16-11.22.14:223][ 85]LogOutputDevice: Error: === Handled ensure: ===
[2024.08.16-11.22.14:223][ 85]LogOutputDevice: Error:
[2024.08.16-11.22.14:223][ 85]LogOutputDevice: Error: Ensure condition failed: false [File:D:\build\++Fortnite\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Engine\Private\Components\SceneComponent.cpp] [Line: 2105]
Line 7594 in the log
[2024.08.16-11.22.14:223][ 85]LogOutputDevice: Error: Template Mismatch during attachment. Attaching instanced component to template component. Parent 'RootComponent' (Owner 'Default__WaterBrushManager_C') Self 'SceneCaptureComponent2D' (Owner 'Landscape_WaterBrushManager_C_0').
that is found in the log
UnrealEditorFortnite.log (1.1 MB)
The status of FORT-779775 incident has been moved from ‘Ready for QA’ to ‘Closed’. Resolution Reason: ‘Cannot Reproduce’
Perfect, that is the same thing I hit locally. We are working on a fix, no ETA on time yet but we are aware! Thanks!
