Problem: My UE5 kept crashing everytime i opened a context menu. And it didn’t show any crash report dialogs or log reports
Solution: Factory reset AMD Software Adrenaline Edition. When prompted to select profile, choose Standard.
Specs:
UE5.3 built from source
OS: Windows 10
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 Fighter
RAM: 16GB RAM
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
I hope this helps someone else!

Thank you soooooo much for posting this. This fixed it for me too. You have no idea how big of a deal this was for me. :]
Thank you for this recommendation.
This appears to have solved my similar issues under the following system configuration:
UE5.0.3 on Windows 10
RX 5700XT and RADEON PRO WX5700 (using Radeon PRO ‘Gaming’ driver variant)
CPU i7-11700k w/ 32GB RAM

Thank you so much!!! I was using 5600XT and ryzen 5 3600.
This did NOT fix it for me.
I have a post here listing EVERYTHING i’ve done so far yet the context menu still seems to ruin everything:
Hi there,
I’ve been having this issue with UE5 where whenever I open a context menu of any kind it uses 100% of my GPU. And essentially freezes my PC until I close the menu. I’ve tried;
Updating/reset drivers,
Updating/reset the BiOS
Switched GPUs (to a RX 6500 XT)
Reinstalled UE5
Used legacy versions of UE5
Removed all projects
Removing all other add-ons
Cleared the cache
Running UE5 with NO other windows open
having the MINIMUM background tasks open
Looked at other forum posts relating to t…
Same thing happening with me.
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950x
GPU: RX 6600 Asus Dual
anyone found a fix for it?
Check if you are using the GPU output instead of the onboard integrated graphics.
Have Task Manager set to “Always On Top”, and place it over the UE5 window. Then the context menu shouldn’t brick the PC anymore
