UE4.12 Linear Lights with Black Halo

Previously the lights on UE4.11 did not behave the same way. Now the linear lights have a black halo
when placed close to a surface. Attached is the image showing the black circular patch on the wall with a
bright rim light … what have changed and how can I work around this issue on UE4.12?

Thanks Andrew. Wasn’t able to find the post previously with the key words I used for the search. Will wait for the patch to be in place before upgrading to 4.12 then. Cheers.
