UE 5.4 release version.

In a nutshell: What. You.Have.done?

Been sitting on the 5.4 Preview version. Everything worked fine. Yesterday I upgraded to the 5.4 Release version.

The editor lags and slows down like crazy. When trying to make merge meshes stable crash…
And no, it’s not the long first startup after installation. That’s understandable. But on the second, third, quarter, etc. startup everything is exactly the same. What about performance!!!? And the overall stability of the application?

I’ve the same issue, the lag is not FPS drop but it’s actually ‘Freeze’, the program freezes every 1 sec and it’s impossible to work.
If anyone has a solution it would be much appreciated.

Experiencing the same issue, although is not a lag as in FPS drop but it’s a freeze, it runs smoothly for 1 sec and then it freezes for 1 sec, you can see this in the FPS stats bar. The lag occurs everywhere and from the beginning of loading or creating a project: In the render window, scrolling the Details and Outliner, scrolling ‘Project Settings’ and ‘Plugins’. 5.4 is completely unusable for me. 5.3.2 is buttery smooth, but 5.4 stutters, almost crashes every time I hit play on an empty project… Really disappointing.
