Please please be that we can directly script blueprint with C#/C++ and sell it in the marketplace. I kind of doubt it a the Mono for Unreal project has been coming slowly but anything to let us create any even limited game play in C# instead of C++ would sway a ton of Unity developers who are sick of Unity on over.

Maybe the Big News are related to : ://venturebeat/2015/02/19/epics-ceo-touts-a-5m-fund-to-give-grants-to-unreal-engine-developers/ ?
@Dizco - Mayyyyyybe Check update to the original post!
Good find! is what my money’s on.
is pretty darned cool!
@
Really generous!!! I’ll certainly be applying as soon as I figure out what exactly it is I’ve been making
Just saw the news on Gamasutra
is a great guy!
Until when is Unreal Dev Grants be active? I mean until when will Epic consider sent projects?
Oh
That’s cool news but there’s like, 0 I’ll ever get money from that with all the talent we currently have in community.
Ah well, there’s always next week’s stream.
Holy F***in’ ShiZ!!! I’m trippin balls at hearing !!
[Question]
Can European Developers apply for Unreal Dev Grants as well as American Devs?
The Epic is amazing news! And great to have on the stream too!
[Question] So as we now know what the stream is about, can we perhaps get an ETA on C++/Code stuff on Marketplace? / would be the dudes to ask I guess!
[Question] Number 2 - Are the Dev Grants purely for Games teams? We’re using the Engine not just for games but also for attractions/visitor experiences that we’re building for Space Science centers and (in the future), places like The Eden Project. We’ve been looking at getting investment funding from elsewhere, but could also be an opportunity for us.
[Question] Number 3 - Do the Dev Grants give those end developers any kind of additional support or potential partnership opportunity?
Dev grants system is interesting. I expect that any team entering would have to go through a radical diligence process to prove they’re doing something innovative with real market value, as opposed to somebodies bedroom project (no offense intended devs ;))
[Questions]
How will the Projects for the Dev Grants be selected or is it a first comes first served approach? So for example I can work on my Project to make it more presentable and adding certain features to show them off critical for your Game without having to worry that all the Grants will be gone when its ready?
My question would be, will the projects being submitted for the be made public for all to see? Or, will it be kept private until the developers want it to be known to all?
Yes: https://www.unrealengine/unrealdevgrants
"Anyone making cool things with UE4
We like games, of course, but we also want to see animated features, architectural visualizations, Marketplace content, mods- anything that will make us say “Whoa.” Please send us as much as you can, and working prototypes are best. If you’re only at the design doc or scriptwriting stage, keep going."
You guys simple rock you know that
^ Ah nice, didn’t see the Blog-post. Thanks
