Translucent material problem not receiving shadow UE5.1

I have a scene that worked correctly before, but now all translucent materials wont receive shadow from other objects. when facing the direction of the sun the material becomes extremely bright, looking like an emissive material. Any idea where I messed up?

resolved by turning off ray traced shadow.

any idea whats causing the problem?
