Hi xsh20111031,

Obviously something doesn’t seem right if you’re seeing these blink like this, but it’s a little hard to just deduce what’s going on without any other information than the image.

  • Is this only happening at certain view angles?
  • Is this only happening with these lights specifically?
  • If you move the light do you see the same flicker?
  • Is your settings > Engine Scalability set to EPIC?
  • Are the lights inside the mesh that is supposed to be where the spot lights coming from?

Let me know.

Hi Tim,Thanks For ur reply,i uploaded My work to YouTube and plz take a look. The major problem is the Light map resolution would reduce.even I changed to ipv or vigil .

Looking at your issue this looks to be some issues with LPV (Light Propagation Volumes).

Just to be clear, Lightmaps and dynamic lighting aren’t always a good fit together, so if you’re using any static lighting along with LPV you may run into some similar issues like I believe is happening in your video.

Also, you mention “vigil”. Are you referring to VXGI from Nvidia? if so, I don’t have a build with this integrated so there may be issues there that I’m not aware of.

To test this, it would be better to illuminate all these different methods of lighting and global illumination and focus on one area. So if we focus just on the spot light issue from your first image you posted, Spot light and point lights aren’t supported by LPV. So set these lights to Static, if they aren’t already. If you’ve enabled VXGI or LPV you need to disable these. Then build lighting so that only Lightmaps are being used. Then take a look at your scene and see if you’re still seeing the same thing.

Let me know.

Tim
