Third Person Controls and Sidescroller Controls completely broken after using First Person Camera

Summary

If you use the First Person Camera device at least once in a session of your island, you will not be able to use the Third Person Controls device or the Sidescroller Controls device at all. Activating the First Person Controls device breaks the functionality of the Third Person Controls device and the Sidescroller Controls device. The only way to regain functionality is to restart the island from the lobby.

Devices

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Place a First Person Camera device and a Third Person Controls device into the same island.

  2. Activate the First Person Camera device through either a switch or through verse to add it to your player.

  3. Deactivate the First Person Camera device through either a switch or through verse to remove it from your player.

  4. Activate the Third Person Controls device through either a switch or through verse to add it to your player.

Expected Result

You should have Third Person Controls (i.e., player-aim based movement, twin sticks movement, or fixed movement). If you are using Sidescroller controls instead of Third Person Controls, you should have those too.

Observed Result

You will not have any control device applied to your player after the First Person Camera device is used at least once in your session. This issue persists regardless of respawns, team changes, switching back to edit mode, etc. The only way to regain functionality of control devices is by restarting the island completely from the lobby and avoiding the First Person Camera device entirely.
