Doesn’t look like any progress has been made on my submissions that were done after the seller portal got revamped. Really hope we aren’t going one step forward and two back with the marketplace, after it took years of constant complaining to get even the slightest changes.

There is an with sorting most recent assets in the new content tab of the marketplace.
Assets, that became visible more recently, are sorted in between asset that have been visible from before.
it’s hella annoying if you ask me, I don’t even want to bother anymore to pick out the new assets from between the older assets.
it’s also bad for the people who actually release the assets.
it should be fairly simple to tell the marketplace system that it should sort by the release time, not submission time or whatever it is sorting for. so why is happening?

Indeed, is terrible for both, sellers and buyers… Please fix ASAP
Recent Additions category matches the UnrealAssets twitter that was created to notify new releases. The New Content page almost matches the Recent Additions page, but is still a bit off. Not quite sure how though.
Dates on the marketplace are still wrong. I published Gliomorph during yesterday evening (5th) but the marketplace lists it on the 4th of October and put it several rows down into the new content pages. Really hurts visibility when the order is wrong. People will see products that look the same and not check through them to see if something new was inserted. I don’t understand how the MP team is so incompetent on .
One thing that I would like to see as a small hobbyist game developer would be a **Wish List and possibility for other people to purchase the asset for you. **Especially with the holiday season coming up I am hard pressed to figure out what I want in real world but having some nice assets to play with purchased by my loved ones would be nice:D.
Hi there,
We’ve checked through post and couldn’t suggestion anywhere, but excuse us if it’s been brought up already.
One REQUEST we have is for a RECENT UPDATES section in the marketplace, prioritized by most recent update first. Our thought process being that it would encourage sellers to update their packs more frequently and to bring out new features.
CURRENTLY: No way of knowing what packs have been recently updated
IDEA: Would be nice if there was a section called RECENTLY UPDATED that showed all packs updated for that month or week
We also like ’ idea of a second rating on packs for quality of the updates.
Thanks,
& Trevor
It’s nice to see that the approval process seems to be faster now. Within the last 6 weeks almost 500 assets got released which is great, but browsing the store now becomes more difficult as the pages get drowned in content. Would be nice to see some sort of new UI for the Marketplace to browse the assets better.
What i love to see as asset pack photorealistic 4K is those JBL VTX V25, G28, S28, Tour sound concert sound systems you would find on JBL pro website as prop assets.
and the awesome crown amplifiers Itech - HD series I-Tech 4 x 3500HD, I-Tech 12000HD, I-Tech 9000HD, I-Tech 5000HD Power amplifiers, and the pro audio mixing console, like the Aurus platinum, Crescendo platinum, Aurous, that would be incredibly awesome as
a concert prop assets on the Unreal engine 4 market place
I think something that would help a lot the marketplace would be to have some live stats of what the users think the marketplace is lacking. There’s a post but it’s years old and not the best way for creators to see what the community actually wants since you would need to go post per post, it’s not very efficient, and also not representative of the majority of the community. So having a live poll that flushes year-old answers for example would be a great tool for creators to know within a glance what would be great to make next, also making it easy for community to vote, and way achieving a more accurate representation of the marketplace needs.

I’m sure Epic probably has a tonne of data from previous searches that turned up nothing that would be a good starting point for something like too. Being able to explore data in more detail through a latest trends page would be an easy way to get a snapshot of what the community is seeking at any time. It could also help content creators optimize their visibility by aligning project titles or descriptions with the correct search terms for what they are selling (akin to Google Trends).
I don’t know if it’s a bug or a , but it looks like “filter by max price” filters by full price, not by sale price.
Someone suggested I come post here with feedback after Cyber Monday. So here it is: searching and presentation of sales is still pretty difficult. You really need to add:
- Filter by category
- Sort by rating
- Sort by author
- Display more items per page (preferably have an option for ALL)
When there’s 1300 items on sale you gotta get through the dross somehow. These are really easy things to add - please, add it before the Christmas sale!

while not a solution, “Event Sale - UE Marketplace” (just change those ?offset=X&max=X" values) will result in more items per page.
At least its a workaround for now.
I also agree that these functions would be nice to have.
A wishlist would be very practical, or the option to favourite or follow contributors/sellers or specific products.
Also more filtering options, like polycount and texture sizes (or high poly/low poly) for meshes, plus being able to select multiple categories for filtering (like for instance “environments”, “props”, and “on sale”). If you implement a wishlist or a tracking system, plus add multiple filtering options, the marketplace might actually start to become user friendly. As it is now every major sale is a 24 hour merry-go-round that makes your head hurt.
I also very often miss more info about the products, like polycount, images that show the products as they are (versus mostly obvious PR images), and maybe even a distinction on the asset page between technical debates and questions (like “please update to the newest engine”) and general feedback/reviews. Maybe even custom FAQs if there’s questions that keep repeating. Some creators are very thorough about the technical details and images they provide, but there’s also a lot of assets where you just basically need to take a , and hope it’s not too bad. Coming from a modding background I just notice that there’s free mods for games that have better info and support than some of the assets on UE4 marketplace. I do understand people won’t keep an eye on their products 24/7, or answer every question, but at least they can provide important and honest info about their product on their shop page to begin with.
I’m having some issues with the marketplace. Some products link to the wrong product and when checking out a sellers page it will show you a random list of content not made by the seller. It’s the same list in any case. happens to me on both of my systems on either the Epic Launcher or my browser.
Edit: It seems that it has already been fixed.
Hi,
I got a problem when I want to purchase plugins from marketplace.
Before I log into my account, I can see the price has discount at “On Sale” board, however after I login, all plugins are back to original price.
That’s weird! I used purchased many plugins form marketplace and never had problem like time. Could you help me out?
On Waterfox 55 (Firefox 55) and Google Chrome 63 on marketplace thumbnails prices can’t be seen:
The marketplace has come a long way and is looking better than ever but I believe there is always room for improvement. Congrats to everyone on on a fine job.
Most of what needs fixing has already been posted before, but here are some suggestions.
The ability to create bundles of our products from the seller’s page. (Itch.io has a great way of doing ).
Increase the character count in the Technical Information section to more than 1900 characters.
Enforce the 30 Characters limit in the Product Title or trim the title in the Vault if it exceeds the 30 Character limit. The Vault looks like a mess with products that exceed 30 characters, with titles overlapping.
That’s it for now. Keep up the good work.
I have a suggestion for the MP team: give extra fields for the seller to put a price for event sales, if the field is empty means the item is outside the event. would reduce the need for every event the seller to list his items to the MP team and can be totally automated with the inclusion of field. There could be even different fields for different regular events. I would really appreciate, since Im a new MP seller I lost the opportunity to put my assets on CyberMonday and Holiday Sales.
We need more filtering. When there is a big sale it is impossible to look through. We need to be able to do things like: filter items by more than X number of reviews on sale by at least Y percent sorted by review score.
