Hey @DanielMagyar !

Coming from the other thread to this one was a wonderful jump! Seeing the first teaser available for The Fortunate Son is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations on making this milestone and I am excited to see how it continues to progress from here out! Keep up the amazing work you do and remember to take breaks for self care, of course!

@galconda Thank you! I’m working hard to make the film better over time. Unreal Engine is improving, and so am I. So, I can guarantee that there are more exciting things to come! This is just the start!

Thank you for the kind words of praise! They mean a lot and give me real strength! I’m glad you found your way here from the Neanderthal post! Welcome! It’s interesting that you mentioned rest. Imagine, on Saturday and Sunday when I put together this teaser and did the final touches, I had such a toothache that I nearly cried! One of my teeth got inflamed, and I took painkillers by the ton just to bear with it somehow! Those were tough moments for sure!

I am echoing everyone else in and outside this thread, but your teaser demonstrates why the hype for “The Fortunate Son” is so justified! This teaser was just a tad bit over a minute and thirty seconds and left me wanting to see a couple of hours more! The stunning and realistic environment you’ve created and the intriguing/mysterious story has entirely captivated me.

Again, that was an amazing teaser, and as usual, I look forward to any further updates you share.

P.S. Toothaches are never fun! I hope you’re feeling better now!

You’re so Nice! If I could, I’d be working on this day and night. I can’t wait for it to be finished, but only time can help with that.

There are so many technical issues popping up all the time. But “issues” doesn’t quite capture it, I’m thinking more about things like, for instance, when I saw a video about UE5.3’s clothing simulation yesterday and how much they’ve improved it compared to 5.2. Since I had quite a bit of trouble with clothing simulation, and unfortunately, it didn’t turn out well, I’ve decided to upgrade the project to 5.3.

So right now, my time is occupied with these technical steps, instead of moving forward with the movie scene by scene. I’m still working on the first minute, while I’ve already got 12 minutes of the film ready, at least in terms of locations, cameras, characters, music, and character voices…

It’s challenging, but seriously, I honestly have to say that your constant encouragement and excitement for the next parts really give me a lot of motivation and strength!
That’s why it’s worth doing it the best way possible!

Many Thanks!

Holy moly this is stunning, love that 1970’s NYC vibe you’ve created. Now I want to see a reboot of the video game Driver and I want it to look exactly like this!

Out of curiosity, where did you find all those amazing 70’s car models?

Wow, talk about a hidden nostalgia unlocked! I wholeheartedly agree with @rustbucket1971’s idea of seeing the video game Driver remade in the aesthetic of “The Fortunate Son,” that would be unbelievable! I truly loved playing that game growing up. :raised_hands:

@SercanC21 Hahaha, that sounds very good! Thank you very much, but unfortunately, I don’t understand game development! I’m more into the film industry, that’s what I love to do! Of course, it doesn’t mean that I know much about it either  . But if I manage to make the movie and perhaps it becomes successful, then I’ll consider making a game! You’re not the first one to say the same thing!

I haven’t updated the movie in a while. But there’s something special in the works! I’ve been quite busy, and I can only dedicate 1-2 hours a day to it in my spare time. But rest assured, some remarkable updates for “The Fortunate Son” 3D Short are on the horizon.

Stay tuned for the exciting details!

I’ve done a lot of work so far, and there’s probably more to come, but I have to say, no matter how tough it gets, making a movie is the best thing ever. If you know someone who might want to help fund a 3D animated film, please share this with them – it would mean a lot to me! Thanks in advance, and I hope you enjoy!
